Hello and Happy Monday,

I mounted my image onto the pale green cardstock and then to the base of my card along with my sentiment. I added some purple and white flowers, lavendar gems and white gingham ribbon to finalize the card. I hope you enjoyed my card. Make sure to stop by the Heart Song Blog and join the fun. Speedy the Cat's Friends Challenge # 74 - Things With Wings

Hello Everyone and welcome to a new week of challenges here at Speedy the Cat's Friends http://marksfinestpapers.blogspot.com challenge. This weeks challenge was suggested by Carol in which she wants us to made a card with Things that have wings.

Again this week I struggled with this card. Since I am new to the design team I am limited in the stamp sets that I can use and I didn't have too many that had creatures with wings. I made two cards this week since I couldn't decide which card I liked and wanted to showcase.

My first card is using Mark's Finest Papers http://www.marksfinestpapers.com September release Autumn Glory. First I took my Mark's Finest Papers Snow Storm cardstock and embossed it with my Cuttlebug scrollwork embossing folder. Then I took my chalk and went over the raised parts if the embossing. Once this was done I stamped my image and sentiment in the middle of the frame. Then I colored my image using chalks and my blender pen along with using Basic Black and Old Olive ink pads.  I chose to use Old Olive cardstock for the base of my card and before I mounted my image to the card I added some brown lacy ribbon and then mounted the image to the card.

For my second card I used an oldie but a goodie from this summer Mark's Finest Papers Planted With Love stamp set. I have seen so many cards made with this stamp set that I really liked so I thought I would make this a CAS (clean and simple) card. I chose Mark's Finest Papers Snow Storm cardstock as my only cardstock for this card. I stamped my images and sentiment with Basic Black and colored the birds beaks with Copic Marker Y19. To add a little color I added red craft cord to finish off the card.

I hope you enjoyed my cards. Thanks for stopping and commenting. I hope to see you visit again and become a follower. Have a blessed day.

Thanks
Debbie

Ghostly Fun - SC351 and CC341

Hello Everyone and Happy Friday,

My day has been so hectic today that I didn't know if I were coming or going. I wanted to have this posted alot sooner than now but better late than never.

My card today is using the color challenge and the sketch challenge from Split Coast Stampers this week. I was not to sure about the color challenge but I gave it a shot anyway. The color challenge was to use Pumpkin, Tempting Turquoise and Old Olive on your card. The Sketch is pretty cool and couldn't wait to use it.

For my card i chose to use Mark's Finest Papers http://www.marksfinestpapers.com September release Boo To You stamp set. I stamped my image and sentiment onto Mark's Finest Papers Snow Storm cardstock with Basic Black ink pad and then colored it with Copic Markers 100, YR68 and E00. I chose Only Orange cardstock for the base of my card and I layered with Taken with Teal and Old Olive. When I was done coloring my image I brushed the edges of the cardstock with all three colors from the challenge. I thought this turned out pretty good, it kinda makes the card pull together. I mounted my images onto the layered cardstock and then to the base of my card. I stamped my sentiment under the images and finished off the card with a pumpkin brad and some black eyelets. I hope you enjoyed my card. Thanks for stopping and commenting, I hope to see you again and hopefully become a follower. Have a blessed day.

Welcome to the final day of the September blog hop. Today we are showcasing another great one called Get Your Broom On. That is a cleaver name for this set. My mom always says when she needs to go somewhere that she needs to get her broom out, so this set is perfect for her.

I was going through my paper looking to see what I had for this card and I found a gem that I forgot I had. I heat embossed my image with black embossing powder onto purple metallic paper. I thought this paper would be great for this card. I used orange cardstock from Mark's Finest Papers Halloween pack for this card. I mounted my designer paper to the base of my card and then mounted my layered image onto the card with pop dots along with my sentiment. Once my images were on I finished off the card with purple and black buttons and I found this great tombstone button that I thought went great with the image so I added that to the image as well. I left the inside of this card blank so that it could fit any occasion around Halloween. Thanks for stopping by and commenting, I hope to see you again or maybe as a follower. Make sure to stop back at Mark's Finest Papers blog and comment in order to be entered to win the featured stamp set. Have a blessed day!!

Mark’s Finest Papers

WOW my first day on the blog hop, what a change of scenery for me. Usually I am going through the blog hop enjoying all the wonderful creations and loving the stamp sets hoping that I might win, but now I have the honor of creating with such a wonderful group of ladies and Markie. This month Mark's Finest Papers are releasing some AWESOME stamps so make sure you stop by the store for your opportunity to purchase any of theses stamps. Once you are done here make sure you stop by Mark's Finest Papers blog and comment so that you are entered to win the featured stamp set today http://marksfinestpapers.blogspot.com.

For my card today using Autumn Glory stamp set I chose to use a mustard cardstock for the base of my card. I stamped my image with black ink and colored with my Prisma colored pencils. Once my image was colored I cut it out and mounted it to a Olive Green die cut and topped the cut off with these wonderful Autumn gems. I mounted my designer paper from Paper Studio to the base of my card, but not before I added some neat Autumn ribbon from Paper Studio. Once my designer paper was mounted to my card I added my image that I mounted to my die cut and topped off the card with some leaves.  The final touch I added a sentiment to the inside of the card. It's funny when ever I finish a card I show it to my husband and he always looks inside, but typically I don't put anything inside.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting. Good luck and make sure you go back the Mark's Blog and comment there. Have a blessed day.

Hello Fellow Speedy friends,

Welcome to another fun filled week here at Speedy the Cat's Friends challenge http://marksfinestpapers.blogspot.com.

This weeks challenge is brought to us by Colleen who wants us to use a punch on our cards. This was a fun challenge for me this week. For my card I used Mark's Finest Papers http://www.marksfinestpapers.com Autumn Fun released last year and is still available for purchase in the store.

First I stamped my image onto white cardstock with my  Basic Black ink pad, then I colored it with my Copic Markers E13, E15, E18, E29 and 100. Then I mounted my image onto burgundy cardstock and then brown cardstock. Once this was done I added Recollections clear gems to the image. Then I stamped my sentiment with my Really Rust ink pad and mounted it the same way. For the base of my card I chose Really rust cardstock and then using the same ink pad I stamped acorns onto the base of the card. For my punch I chose a leaf punch and cut leaves out of burgundy, sage green, brown and a mustard cardstock and mounted some to the base of the card. then I mounted my image and my sentiment to the base of the card with pop dots. Once that was done I finished off the card by putting some more leaves on the card with pop dots to give them dimension.  Thanks for stopping by to see my card I hope you enjoyed it.

Happy Monday!

Hello everyone and welcome to another week of challenges with Heart Song Inspirations http://heartsonginspirations.blogspot.com. This weeks challenge at Heart Song is to distress your card and/or use paint on your card.

Speedy the Cat's Friends Challenge # 71 - Bring on the Bling

Hello Everyone and Happy Saturday,

Welcome to another week of challenges here at Speedy the Cat's Friends challenge http://marksfinestpapers.blogspot.com. This weeks challenge is from Carol who wants us to bring on the bling. That means to use your pearls, Rhinestones, gems, any any other kind of bling you can think of.

This was a hard one for me because I don't have a whole lot of blingage for me to use. After thinking about this for a long time I finally came up with my card. For my card I used Mark's Finest Papers - Bearded Iris stamp set. I colored the image with my Stampin Up watercolored pencils. I used Stampin Up's Pink Passion cardstock for my base and designer paper from Melody collection and I also used mustard textured cardstock for layering. As for my bling I used glitter flowers from Petaloo and Say it With Crystals pearls. I hope you enjoyed my card. Thanks for stopping by to visit. Have a blessed day.

We hope everyone enjoys this weeks challenge! We all look forward to seeing your wonderful creations and commenting on your beautiful cards. You have until 3pm on Friday September 9th to post your card. Remember, if you use any of Mark's Finest Paper stamps your name is entered into the drawing twice!!! Have fun and good luck!!

Love Without End - CC338 & SC348

Hello everyone and Happy Thursday,

I am a little late with these Split Coast Challenerges but better late than never. My card today is for the color challenge and the sketch challenge for this week. The color challenge was to use Cherry Cobbler,
Calypso Coral, and More Mustard and the dessert was to make your own designer paper. Well the only color that I really had was the More Mustard from Stampin Up so I chose to make that the base of my card. I did try to match the other colors as closely as possible so I have a coral and a cranberry colored cardstock for layering. I used Stampin Up's Love Without End stamp set and first started out by making my designer paper using Stampin Up's Cameo Coral, Old Olive, More Mustard and Cranberry Crisp ink pads. Once I made my designer paper I mounted it to the base of my card. Then I mounted my image onto my layered cardstock and mounted them to the card according to the sketch for this week. I finished it off by adding Coral ribbon from American Crafts and a crocheted flower from Petaloo.

Thanks for stopping by and visiting. I love new followers. Stay tuned blog candy coming soon. Have a blessed day.

Thanks
Debbie
